The F. D. Alpaiwalla Museum offers a comprehensive Internship and On-the-Job Training (OJT) program designed specifically for second-year (SY) and third-year (TY) BA students. The Museum’s hands-on opportunity, allows interns to actively contribute to vital museum operations, from public engagements, handling objects, to backend archival, preservation and documentation processes.
Aligned with the National Education Programme (NEP 2020), this program welcomes students from diverse colleges across Mumbai.
The internship structure ensures you gain well-rounded experience by splitting your time between two critical museum departments:
In the first half of your internship, you will develop public speaking and storytelling skills by training as a museum docent.
In the second half, you will step behind the scenes to learn the foundational steps of becoming a professional museum documentarian. Working directly under the guidance of the Deputy Curator, and the Curatorial Assistant you will:
